About The Scotts BBQ
Straight answers on grills, smokers, thermometers, fire, and the places that make American barbecue worth the drive.
The Scotts BBQ is for people who would rather light a fire than compare fifty tabs. We cover grills, smokers, thermometers, fuel, technique, and barbecue joints worth the miles.
Backyard gear has to earn its space
A good pit holds useful heat, fits the food you actually cook, and survives grease, weather, and cleanup. We like sturdy hardware, controls that make sense with dirty hands, and parts you can replace. Extra buttons do not count for much if the fire is hard to manage.
The right choice changes with the cook. A compact grill can be perfect for a patio and miserable at a walk-in campsite. A 300-pound smoker can be a dream in a permanent spot and a headache anywhere else. Our guides make those tradeoffs plain.
The name on the guide
Every article carries The Scotts BBQ Editorial Team byline. It is a shared byline for this publication, not a character in an apron. The advice has to stand on the details in the guide.
